Cradle Cap: Use Oils, Vegetable or Mineral

When my nephew developed cradle cap on his head, my sister became worried. The crusty, scaly and oily look of the affected area made her impatient. She was desperate to get a quick recovery. When we consulted the doctor, he took it lightly and told that it would vanish automatically. May be it will take a few months, or even a year or two; but it will vanish.

The dermatologist suggested a number of ways in which cradle cap can be kept under control. He suggested the application of oils, both vegetable and mineral. It can be applied on the affected area liberally and left overnight. Then the softened scales can be brushed away with soft brush, toothbrush, comb or cloth. In our case, it worked well.
