Cradle Cap: Think Well Before Using Oils

One common remedy of cradle cap, as I have been told by some specialists is to use oils on the affected area. They suggest that oil of any types, be it vegetable or mineral, should be applied on the affected area liberally and left overnight. There is no hard and fast rule regarding the time. Anyway, they also suggest that the scales that are softened by the oil should be brushed away.

Both these things are a little dicey. It is a fact that Malasezzia yeasts survive in oily environments, something not good for the baby suffering from cradle cap. Moreover, the suggestion of brushing away the scales with something is also risky. So, if you are speculating of giving this method a try, think well before you lunge into it.
